I MIGHT be going to Chicago in late April for a day or two and I would love to go to AG place to shop and try out the cafe. The menu online looks so yummy. Is the food really good?
How far in advance do you need a reservation?

The food is great! I'm not really sure how far in advance you need to get a reservation, I think around 1- 2 months before you go to AGP.

Thanks for letting me know how far in advance I would need a reservation. It would be hard to book it now though because I don't know exactly when I could go, and what time I could be there.
I can't believe that cafe gets so busy with all the fantastic food there is in Chicago.

I think it is the hardest to get lunch reservations. It seems easier to get dinner or tea reservations. I got dinner reservations with just a few days notice. I posted these pictures of my December cafe dinner before, but I will post them again just in case you didn't see them. I've eaten in Chicago restaurants several times, and I don't think I enjoyed a meal more than at the AGP Cafe. Of course, it was a special day with my daughter and husband, but the food and atmosphere was especially enjoyable.

I just checked on AG site, lunch is $17. Kind of expensive, but I guess it's worth it if I take my girls there just once a year.
